Armenian Revolutionary Federeation's Youth Organization of Canada

About Us

Levon Shant is the A.R.F.Y.O.C.'s Montreal chapter. Armenian youth aged 16 to 25, and possessing a good moral character can become members.

The A.R.F.Y.O.C.'s goal is to gather the youth around the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (A.R.F.), and to provide them with a cultural, ideological and political education. The organization readies its members to become active components within the Armenian community, and especially within its political life. The organization's primary aim is to prepare capable youths to join the A.R.F. party ranks.

Levon Shant's members engage in political activities pertaining to the Armenian cause—picketing, April 24 commemoration, postcard campaigns, etc. Outside the realm of politics, members also organize social, educational or humanitarian events in the form of parties, demonstrations, lectures and telethons.

The Levon Shant chapter requires its members's regular presence at meetings where lectures are given and other organizational issues are discussed. Members partake in chapter or pan-canadian educational seminars, and work within the chapter's many sub-committees.
